It’s 2022, can you believe it? It’s time for New Year’s Resolutions in your classroom. It’s been a rough couple of years and everyone is looking for the positives and blessings that are out there. Putting ourselves into a positive mindset is one of the first things we all need to do with the coming of the new year. Deciding on a goal or resolution is a great way to do that.
How can EZ Stickerbook help with New Year’s Resolutions in the classroom? It is actually easy and will be very helpful in establishing a positive routine in the classroom. Even young students can decide on something they want to work on or something they want to learn. It’s all about how you present it and explain it.
How do I start?
What’s the first step? Have a discussion with your classroom about the New Year and how the New Year makes us think of a clean slate and what we can do to have a great new year. Talk about something you want to learn or do better to give them an idea for a New Year’s Resolution. Make a list of the students and what they want to learn or work on.
Next, log into EZ Stickerbook and go to the left green menu and choose goals. In goals, type in the New Year’s Resolution that each student chose. Decide how many times they need to do that skill in order to learn or improve the skill. That is how you establish the goal for your classroom.

Now each time the child works on their goal/resolution, send them a sticker and be sure to assign it to the established goal. Students will see how they are working towards their New Year’s Resolution. When students reach their goal, be sure to celebrate it in the classroom.
Establishing a positive mindset and celebrating these new skills and improvements is a great way to start the new year and it sets up your classroom to understand that working hard and reaching a goal are important and should be celebrated. Once they reach their goal/resolution, have them choose another. It’s as EZ as that!
